Best Guided Excursions

If you’re looking for the full saltwater experience in Charleston – this is where you will get it. Guided through the creeks of Folly Beach by our experienced guides you will be able to learn while having fun and making memories.

While on one of our guided excursions you can expect to learn the names of local birds and creatures, hopefully get to see some playful and feeding dolphins, learn a little Charleston history, and go places where most wouldn’t.

At Castaway, we offer several different types of excursions. If you are looking for a fun, easy-going trip we offer a 2 hour creek adventure which involves exploring the local wetlands that surround our location at your own pace. We also offer 2 hour trips for both sunrise and sunset because you truly cannot beat a lowcountry morning or evening out on the water. If you are looking for an even bigger adventure, we offer a 2.5 hour “Lowcountry Seafood” excursion. On this trip you get to watch as your guide throws a cast net, pulls up crab traps, and harvests oysters (in season). This is an excursion like no other on a kayak and is a must do for the whole family!

Here at Castaway, we want everyone to get outside and explore therefore we welcome all experience levels on our tours. Before each tour, your experienced guide will give you a paddle tutorial and quick safety talk. Our goal is for you to spend less time on land and more time on the water experiencing the natural beauty that our creeks have to offer!

*We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your departure time for paperwork and for safety and proper paddle instruction
